Book Review- In a Jar

Book Review- In a Jar
Book Review- In a Jar

Llewellyn is a collector, a collector of memories. He collects things that give him joy, the mundane things like falling autumn leaves, the rich ‘tart cherry syrup’ evening sky! He gives one of those jars to Evelyn and there starts a new friendship.

Llewellyn and Evelyn go on to collect bigger things, the intangibles- like the wonders of winter, the warmth of the fireplace on a cold night, dancing in the snow, newness of spring, long shadows of summer and the likes!

Time together is short lived and Evelyn’s family moves to a different place. Llewellyn is heart broken. A beautiful meteor shower one night gives him an idea that maybe he can still share his experiences with Evelyn.

A visually stunning book (can’t emphasise that enough) with stunning illustrations. It magically uplifts the entire experience of the book. The friendship, the incredible shared joys, the heartbreak, the breakthrough, the new beginnings- we felt it all. Can’t recommend this enough.

Ideal for kids aged 4+yrs
