We are introduced to Beauty, the Buffalo, who is a creature of impeccable taste along with being a stunning beauty. This is the mystery story of what ensues and do we ever find the missing beauty?!
This is an adorable story with a protagonist you are going to love. The setting, the motley set of village characters the portrayal of the duty bound constable, the antagonist and the stunning Beauty herself- there is nothing not to love.
We loved the illustrations and the many details which have been carefully portrayed. This is a great introduction to this genre for the littles. Lots of elements to keep them guessing and the excellent wordplay will be enjoyed by all kids and adults alike. Probably one of the best books to have come out of Indian Kidlit.
P.S we have also read this in Hindi and though some of the translation is slightly tricky in places, it is still a great book to enjoy.
